Tecla’s house

The medieval town has a fortified historic center contained by imposing walls and a panoramic terrace, where in 2021 the bronze statue of the ‘Warrior of Cana‘ was installed by the artist Paolo Staccioli.
In Piazza del Popolo stands the sixteenth-century well Cisterna Medicea, used as a source for water collection up until the last century. Inside the rural church of Renaissance origin, the Madonna del Conforto, one can admire the sixteenth-century painting of the Virgin of Comfort, whose celebrations take place on the first Sunday of September.

From Cana it is easy to reach the various seaside resorts as well as the Amiata area and the famous hot springs of Saturnia, all in roughly 40 minutes by car, making it an excellent base for excursion vacations in southern Tuscany.
There are farms and wineries nearby that offer local delicacies such as honey, wine and oil.
Also noteworthy is that from Cana begin various marked trails that lead to the nearby Stribugliano and Monte Labbro, easily accessible on foot or by mountain bike.
